Product Description

This beautiful drop spindle is handmade here in Nebraska from Nebraska-grown woods. This traditional style is wonderful for those who simply want to have an elegant spindle for their spinning or for living history and historical demonstrations. The shaft is turned on a lathe and made of elm or poplar, while the whorl is also turned on a lathe and made of beautiful oak. The spindle is finished with a natural oil finish with a nice sheen. Spindle is approximately 11 1/2 inches (29 cm) in length, and whorl is approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter. Due to the handmade nature of these spindles, size may vary.
